Regarding Brynna's Charity Kit

I have had a lot of people contact me over the past few days after reading about Brynna's story either from Kez or on my blog so I figured I'd update you all on the progress of it. All contributions are greatly appreciated more than you know. The kit will be using the color swatch below and has a Hope, Love & Healing theme. I am asking anyone that wishes to contribute to have their portions to me by October 30th so I can have the kit ready and in my store by November 1st.

The outpouring of love for my niece has been amazing and I have to say a couple thank yous. To my sisters, you know who you are, I could not have gotten through this without you! A special thank you to my designing staff at Treasured Scraps. They are so much more than designers to me, they are my extended family and I love you all. To ladies at Terminally Unique Designs, words can never express what your friendship has meant to me, you are my family and "my pack" that I run with pride in. I could not have gotten through the past month without you all. I also want to thank you also to the designers at Sweet N Sassy, Angelic Scraps & Digital Chaos, they've been amazingly supportive throughout one of the most difficult times in my life.

So I wanted to let you know that if you still wish to participate you can, just email me your zips (via 4shared) to honoredscraps@gmail.com by October 30th. I also wanted to let you know that all further updates regarding Brynna will be on this blog I have set up for her. Pamela of The Posh Box has done an amazing job designing it for me, thank you my friend! If you need to reach me in regards to the kit please either leave a note in my cbox at http://honoredscraps.blogspot.com/ or send me an email at honoredscraps@gmail.com.

Can You Help? (Disturbing to Read)

Some of you are already aware of my niece's story. I helped raised her until I moved out to Washington to be with my husband. At that point her mom (my sister) moved her and my nephew to another state. Earlier this year the state took both kids away from sister, my nephew was placed in a home for anger issues and my niece was placed with a foster mother, that's when the true horror in her life began. Her foster mother left her with her boyfriend who is a convicted child molestor. This man was a former deputy and he placed a gun to her head and forced her to perform sexual acts on him and said he would kill her if she told anyone. Being the wonderful, strong girl she is she told her case worker and now both the man & foster mom are in jail.

I'm sure all of you are as disgusted and angry as I have been since I found out. I am going to be putting a charity kit together, 75% of the profits will go into a fund for my niece and the other 25% will go to a charity I'm hoping to work with called RAINN. This note is to see if there are any designers that would like to participate in the kit. The kit will be sold exclusively in my store Treasured Scraps. If you would like to help please contact me at honoredscraps@gmail.com, please do not post comments in my chat box about this. Please feel free to share this info with any designers you think might be interested. I do have the link to her story but for obvious reasons I will not post it here.
